The player's inventory allows them to carry items around and access them from wherever they are. This is different than storage that players have access to, as they cannot bring that storage with them.

Players have access to their inventory, and storage. Allowing them to store items and tools for use.
Inventory
The storage system attached to the player character. The player's inventory starts with 10 slots available and can be increased with the purchase of carrying bags. (Satchels, backpacks, etc.)
Storage
Storage is represented with chests and similar items, these items are placed in the world and can be accessed when the player interacts with them.
Players will not be limited by carry weight. Inventory slots will only allow the stacking of up to 99 items in one slot. Not all items are able to be stacked, this will be limited to resources used in crafting or activities. Tools cannot be stacked.
When players undergo certain activities, like foraging, they will be given temporary satchels to store the items they are foraging.
Players have the ability to manipulate the items in their inventories in a few ways.
Drop
Players can drop items from their inventory onto the ground, after the day is done, the items left on the ground are deleted.
Split
Players can Shift + Click on a stack in their inventory to split it in half. (In cases of odd number, the new stack will have the additional item.)
